The Capsule Wardrobe consists of a few pieces of clothing that work together perfectly. All you need is 7-10 pieces that are great – looks and quality.
It steams from the idea of “buy less, choose well”
In 1985 Donna Karan introduced “The 7 Easy Pieces”
These are:
A bodysuit A wrapped skirt A chiffon blouse A longer jacket leggings a blazer and finally a dress

“So Many women find assembling the right clothes bewildering today, they’ve discovered fast ways to put food on the table, but they don’t know how to get their wardrobes together easily.”
Karan’s collection was based on the idea that with the right basics, a woman could accomplish anything. And her approach is still relevant today. As Karan continued to update and refine her designs with an acute sensitivity for women and their relationships with their bodies.
The Seven Easy Pieces are constantly evolving with time. The one constant has been the bodysuit, the basics of Karen’s first collection.

One of the reasons The Seven Easy Pieces has been criticised, is the fact that it only takes account of functionality. What about individual style and daily routine?
Why Should I bother finding my individual Capsule Wardrobe?
It makes it easy to create outfits
It saves you so much time
It’s the ethical and sustainable way of living
Let’s try to assimilate your individual Capsule Wardrobe
Describe your style – if you find words hard, try creating a mooodboard.
Ask yourself “what first impression do I want to project to others?”
What’s your daily routine like?
What do you consider the best part of your figure?
