It's getting coldcoldcold and I keep thinking how I wished I could live in a Slim Aarons' world of opulent, sunbathing jet-setters...

Slim Aarons was an American photographer, noted for photographing socialites, jet-setters and in simple words - rich people's lifestyle.

His images optimised the glamour, charisma and celebrity he always sought to capture.
He sought "attractive people, doing attractive things, in attractive places."

One of his most popular image, The Kings of Hollywood, 1957.
Film stars from left to right: Clark Gable, Van Heflin, Gary Cooper and James Stewart.
A fun fact about Aarons is that he never used a stylist, make up artist or a set designer - he photographer his subjects as they were.

Aarons eventually won the trust of those he photographed, and in turn, he was allowed to shoot some of their most intimate and candid portraiture of the 20th century.
Ironically, Aarons was a military photographer before turning to print journalism, after the war.
He passed away in May 2006, at the age of 89.
A year later, Gretty Images bought all of his images and released a book of the artist's work, called Poolside with Slim Aarons, putting a capstone on his legacy.
Here are a few of his most iconic photographs:
